It’s that time of year again. The Texas Music Educator’s Clinic/Convention is right around the corner. TMEA will be taking over San Antonio February 14-17 and we here at Green Light could not be more thrilled. Not only do we get to see some of your darling faces, but we also have a line up full of crazy-cool things we’ll be doing throughout the convention. Would you expect anything less? We’ll be at Booth 2477, Halls 3 & 4A. Feel free to drop us “howdy” at any time, but here are the top 4 things we’ll be doing at TMEA that you’ll seriously not want to miss.
1) Proving The Grass is Greener…
We’ve noticed a lot of music educators travel with the same tour operator year after year, even if they’re not satisfied, simply because they think it’s easier than changing it up.
Not changing is not easier. Here’s why.
Green Light isn’t just a stellar all-around tour operator. We’re also one of the only ones with a fully online payment and registration system. No more hand-signed permission slips or collecting check after check from your students for months before your trip. We’ve streamlined the process and put it online so our group leaders can have their lives back.
Stop by our booth for a full, hands-on demonstration so you can see if its a good fit for you, your parents, and your program. We have a hunch you’ll like it on our side of the fence.
2) Presenting: Apryl Black!
In case you don’t know, Apryl Black is Green Light’s Co-Founder and all-around fearless leader of day-to-day operations. She has been coordinating safe and successful student trips since 2003, back when Green Light was known as Capitol Music Fest. Simply put, she knows a thing or two about helping people get the most out of student travel. That means minimizing the potential pitfalls, building in opportunities for fun, and amplifying travel’s most life-changing qualities.
Come see Apryl impart that knowledge live on Thursday, Feb 15 at 1 PM in CC 213 in a session called “How To Plan A Successful Group Tour”. Among other things, she’ll discuss how to leverage group travel to help with recruiting, keeping the kiddos safe on the road, how to protect your organization through individual billing, and how travel can open your students’ hearts and minds.
3) Giving Away A Pair Of Green Beats Headphones:
Did you even know they made Beats headphones in green? If not, take a moment to bask in the glory:
Have we mentioned we like the color green?
Our proposition is simple: stop by our booth anytime Wednesday through Friday and chat with us about your student group travel desires. Leave us some information on how to stay in touch, and by Saturday, if your name is selected from the drawing, you could be the proud owner of these beautiful headphones. More importantly, we’ll probably end up becoming your best friend and helping your group take an unforgettably awesome trip. But the headphones are nice too, of course.
4) Serving Up Some Mean, Green Guacamole:
When all else fails, we eat. And you should too! Stop by our booth during the extended hours Friday, Feb 16 at 6 PM for a taste of everyone’s favorite chip-dipping, super food appetizer: guacamole. We challenge you to think of a food that’s more shareable, delicious, and green. While partaking in the tasty goodness, you’ll also have a chance to get to know us better and realize just how charming we really are. We’ll be trying not to talk with our mouth full.
See You There!
In short, the TMEA Clinic/Convention is always a good time, but we’re really planning on leaving our mark on it this year. And yes, that mark will most likely…be green. Friends new and old should be our invited guests to come see us and, if possible, check out all of the action listed above. See you in San Antonio, folks!
